Bokeh Photo Editor — Copyright and Proprietary Rights Notice
Copyright © 2026 Lilo Huang. All rights reserved.
1. Ownership and scope
Except for the third-party materials identified in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md and published at https://bokeh.cc/legal/THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.html, all original portions of Bokeh Photo Editor and the bokeh.cc website are proprietary works owned by Lilo Huang, to the extent protected by applicable law. Protected material includes, without limitation, original source and object code, worker code, shaders, editing and export implementations, the selection and arrangement of features, user-interface design and interactions, documentation, text, graphics, icons, presets, parameter sets, and other original creative content.
This notice claims rights only in protectable material owned by Lilo Huang. It does not claim exclusive rights in ideas, facts, methods of operation, public standards, browser APIs, generic photographic techniques, third-party materials, or user content.
2. Limited permission for normal use
Visitors may access and run the official Bokeh Photo Editor service at https://bokeh.cc/ for its intended end-user functions. This limited permission includes only the transient and cached browser copies technically necessary to load and run the authorized service and to save output files generated through normal use. It does not transfer ownership or authorize redistribution, publication, or deployment of any protected part of the service.
3. Rights expressly reserved
Unless Lilo Huang gives prior written permission, or applicable law grants a right that cannot be waived, no permission is granted to:
- reproduce, retain, or download protected material for redistribution or deployment;
- copy, modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works from protected material;
- distribute, publish, sublicense, sell, rent, commercially exploit, or otherwise make protected material available to others;
- host, mirror, clone, frame, proxy, embed, white-label, repackage, or redeploy the site or application, in whole or in substantial part, on another domain, service, application, repository, or distribution channel;
- extract or reuse original interface assets, documentation, presets, look definitions, parameter collections, or other substantial parts of the application;
- remove, conceal, alter, or falsify copyright, attribution, provenance, build, or rights-management information; or
- use the Bokeh name, branding, visual identity, or domain in a manner likely to imply authorization, sponsorship, affiliation, or origin.
4. Official deployment and unauthorized copies
The authorized public deployment is https://bokeh.cc/, unless Lilo Huang expressly identifies another deployment in writing. A copy appearing at any other domain or in another product should not be assumed to be authorized. The presence of this notice, a Bokeh name, or a copied attribution line on another service does not authorize that copy and does not transfer any rights.
5. User content and exports
Bokeh Photo Editor does not claim ownership of photographs, files, metadata, editing decisions, or exported images supplied or created by its users. Rights in those materials remain with their respective owners. Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the rights necessary to process and export their materials.
6. Third-party materials
Third-party authors and licensors retain all rights in their respective components. Those components are governed solely by the licenses and notices identified in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md and its published copy. Nothing in this notice limits rights granted directly by a third-party license, and no third-party license grants any right to Bokeh Photo Editor's original proprietary material.
7. No implied license or waiver
No license is granted by implication, estoppel, public availability, access to browser-delivered code, or otherwise. Failure to enforce a right in one instance is not a waiver of that right in any other instance. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
